After mastering the fields of jazz infused deep house, Edward White flexes his ability to produce within the realms of UK bass with an explosive four-track E.P.

I Get Cake touches all corners of the UKG scene, presenting bass heavy dancefloor wreckers, as well as soulful two-step chops where influences from White’s experience in deep house can be heard through expansive soundscapes.

The project opens up with a driving two-step rhythm with cheeky vocal jitters from all over the underground scene. Whilst paying homage to some iconic sounds of garage, the production remains fresh with carefully crafted sound design intended to keep feet shuffling from start to finish.

I Get Cake, the primary track of the E.P can be described as nothing short of bliss. An irresistibly groovy synth melody is layered upon floaty padwork and swirling soundscapes. With all aspects within this expansive sound palette merging so effortlessly, it is clear to see why the E.P is dedicated to this soon to be anthem.

The Things You Make Me Do is a perfect example of White’s ability to infuse his deep house roots with the sounds of UKG. Growling saw bass patterns and a funky two-step rhythm are kept flowing with seductive vocals and climbing plucks. Whether on a sunlit terrace or as the final track of an after hours party, The Things You Make Me Do is bound to bring a sense of euphoria to all its listeners.

The E.P finishes with a bang, as Good 2 U propels listeners with a speedy, break infused footwork weapon. Perfectly balancing a club driven sound with ambient atmospheric synth work, this versatile tack is a hidden gem for any DJ’s catalogue.

Edward White’s ability to conquer both explosive bass orientated club heaters, as well as deep and melodic euphoric rhythms, demonstrates why he is a strong addition to the UK bass scene.
